-
A Deal occurs when individual Buyers place an order together to get a quantity discount.
-
Default is 100% FREE to use.
-
Yes! You don't have to be a Seller to post Deals. Just like 'wanted ads', you can post what you're looking for and Sellers come to you.
-
The Seller handles payments when a Deal is completed. Default does provide help with the payment process using Paypal. Using this option, Default can collect deposits and balance payments for the Seller. These payments go directly to the Seller's Paypal account.
-
No. After a Seller registers, he may immediately start posting Deals.
-
No. Default does not sell items. We simply manage the “Dealing process” from beginning to end.
-
Sellers handle all returns.
-
When you post your Deal:
- Click the 'Use PayPal for Payments?'check box
- Enter your PayPal Email information.
- If you want to require a deposit for this Deal, enter a deposit amount.
After you post your Deal, you'll be able to accept PayPal payments for this Deal. You can also set your PayPal Email in your 'My Profile' settings if you would like to use the same PayPal Email for all of your Deals.
-
Doing so lets you stay informed on updates to the Deal (i.e. terms change, Buyers join etc) if you aren't ready to commit to buying yet. However, you MUST become a Buyer (i.e. join the Deal and agree to purchase the item) before you can be included in the group deal.
-
Buyers are committed to buying and fully agree to the terms of the Deal. Once you become a Buyer, you may not remove yourself from the Deal. If the Group Buy expires before the number of Buyers is met, the deal does not go through and any deposits paid will be refunded.
-
A Seller has to be invited by the original poster before he/she may take over a Deal. Here are the steps the original poster must perform:
- Login to you account
- Go to the Deal's page.
- Click the Invite Seller button.
- Fill out the Seller's contact information and send the invitation.
If the Seller accepts the invitation, he will then submit a proposal that the original poster will need to accept. Once this happens, the Deal will be transferred over to the Seller.
-
Here's how to join a Group Buy:
- Go to the Group Buy you want to join.
- Click on the Buy button.
- Choose the Buy option. The Seller may require a deposit. If so, you will be sent to PayPal to pay a deposit.
- Once the Seller receives the deposit, PayPal will notify us.
- We'll then add you to the Buyers list.
-
This is because your PayPal deposit has not cleared yet. We move you to the Buyers list after we receive a notification from PayPal that your deposit has cleared. Sometimes this takes a few days if your PayPal account is linked to a bank account as opposed to a credit card, which usually clears instantly.
-
If the Paypal option is not used, the Seller for the Deal will email you to finalize payment, shipping etc. If it is, you will receive an email indicating when you can login to Default to initiate a Paypal payment to the Seller.
-
The Seller will refund any deposits within 48 hours and no transaction takes place.
-
The Seller has the option of proceeding anyways and offering the discounted Deal price to those Buyers joined, even if there are fewer Buyers than needed.
-
You will never pay a higher price than the advertised Deal price even if there aren't enough Buyers. At worse, if there aren't enough Buyers when the Deal expires, you will get your deposit back (if any was paid) and no transaction occurs.
-
We know how tedious the Dealing process can be and thats why Default exists. We aim to automate as much of the process as possible for as many people as possible. We will never charge any fees to our Buyers or Sellers. We do not receive any incentives or 'kick backs' from Sellers for helping them sell their products.
-
You can help us by spreading the word to your friends and family about us. The more people that know about us, the more Deals there will be, the more money Buyers will save, and the more items Sellers will sell. Its a win-win situation.
